The multiple artistic viewpoints of the theme by eight contemporary Greek artists were presented from 2 July to 2 August 2010, in Delphi, with new works inspired by the Battle of Marathon:

Alexandra Athanassiades War Horse, sculpture of brass and wood,

Nikos Alexiou Ideal Armours, a work from reed and strings,

Evgenia Apostolou Bloody Fields, oil on canvas,

Venia Dimitrakopoulou Warriors fallen in battle, installation-stones and metal,

Nikos Navridis The question of the age gap, synthetic gypsum, steel construction,

Vana Xenou Tomb, installation, drawing, mixed technique, paper, metal and mineral,

Danae Stratou Javelin, metal work and photography,

Nakis Tastsioglou Shield-Monument, a work of plexiglass, iron and light.

The works of Vana Xenou, Venia Dimitrakopoulou, Danae Stratou (original photographic work from the series Horizons that was part of the artistic ensemble Javelin), the second version of the work by Nakis Tastsioglou and a screen printing of the work of Alexandra Athanassiades’ War Horse remain in the collection of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi.

Nikos Navridis donated one of his other works to the Centre of Delphi which is now exhibited at the Central Offices in Athens.
